Briddhi collaborated with the largest e-commerce company in Bangladesh to examine the parcel and food delivery workers in Dhaka. The objective was to assess whether the rider-based economy in Dhaka was either stable or declining. This investigation was related to concerns about rural-urban migration and fairness in platform-based work. We conducted a survey involving 500 delivery personnel to gain a comprehensive understanding of their job and personal circumstances, including income, job stability, workload, benefits, risks, and their expectations for the future.
The findings of this study have been published in the 2023 edition of “Discourses on Development,” an annual publication by the Briddhi Foundation.
